About this item
Sweet William, a relative to the Carnation, is a sweet smelling flower that enjoys a moist and cooler climate in full sun to partial shade. The mix offers a variety of colors between pink and red. It makes an excellent cut flower. Sweet William does not like heavy acidic soils or hot climates. This flower works great for a border or to plant in a mass. *This flower is a perennial so it may not bloom the first year it is planted. Be patient with this flower to establish and bloom. See our photos for a photo of what the smaller plants look like before they bloom so you don’t accidentally pull them when weeding.
