Sweet Dumpling Winter Squash: 110 days to Maturity. Small delicata type squash ideal for stuffing. Bears round fruits of about 7 ounces with sweet tender orange flesh. Very productive plants yield plenty of squash that keep well. To direct sow, plant the seeds a week after frost 1/2" deep, 3-4' apart and thin to 8-10' apart. For companion planting benefits, plant Sweet Dumpling squash seeds along with corn but avoid planting them with potatoes. You can soak your squash seeds before planting to encourage faster germination. Put them in clean water and let them sit for a few hours before planting.
