About this item

Oregon Sunshine is also commonly referred to as Wooly Sunflower or Golden Yarrow. This golden flower can be found in uplands, typically in sandy or well-drained gravel soil. Dry, open habitats below 10,000 feet provide another common home to this flower. Oregon Sunshine will grow to be long and leggy and will need to be managed and cut-back when it strains to stay standing. It can be found growing in southern British Columbia, east of the Cascade Mountains, in the Sierra Nevadas, around western Montana, southeastern Idaho, northeastern Nevada and even as far south as southern California. It is a low-growing flower that will bloom between May and August. Drought tolerant and long lasting, this perennial will manage to find its niche in an area and stay there. Outdoor fall planting in the Northwest will yield the best results.
