Whirlybird Nasturtiums Blend is a mix of nasturtium flowers that blooms between spring and the fall frost, grows 10" - 12" with 5' - 6' vines when mature. Mix will offer beautiful rose, tangerine, mahogany, red, gold, and cream blossoms. This easy-to-grow variety is compact and performs well as a container plant. Nasturtiums prefer sun to shade, but shade is needed. Nasturtium flowers and leaves taste peppery like watercress. Excellent vine for fences, trellises, hanging baskets, or as a ground cover. Never pamper your Nasturtiums with excess fertilizer - excess fertilizer will cause lots of green leaves and no blooms. They flower best in average garden soil with loose, light texture. Important to remove spent flowers to prolong blooming. Brighten up your vegetable garden with Nasturtiums - they deter white flies and squash bugs.
