Plant bean seeds after all danger of frost has passed, and soil temperature is 48F minimum. Plants need 6-8 hours sunlight per day. Sow seeds 1" deep, 4-6" apart, in rows that are 2-3' apart. Seeds may be started indoors.
Water deeply and regularly. Weed carefully as they have shallow roots.
Beans mature all at the same time and must be harvested at once. If allowed to sit longer than a day or two, the flavor suffers.
Plant a new crop every two weeks for a continuous harvest. Bush beans may be grown in containers.
